So your tired of just punching paper, and are longing for targets that actually do something when you hit them, boy have you come to the right place. Line up and take your best shot(s), at the Tennis balls, golf balls, candy suckers, clay pigeons, and of course paper targets, and you can do it all with your trusty rim fire rifles, and/or center fire pistols. Here’s how it goes:
Rim Fire Rifles
25-Yards: Candy Suckers (5), Golf Balls (5), and a small Bull’s eye target. Each contestant will fire a total of 30-rounds, in 6-round increments, as follows: 1. Fire one shot at each of the above noted targets, twice around for each 6-rounds. 2. Cease fire after each 6-round, and reload another 6-rounds. 3. As you eliminate hard targets (candy suckers, golf balls) you will concentrate your fire on the remaining target, 4. When all 30-rounds have been fired you will make your guns safe (open cylinders or slides) and move to the 50-yard line (at the command).
50-Yard line: Clay (5), Tennis balls (2), and Small bull’s eye target (1), Plus a bonus Golf Ball (optional, worth 25 extra points if hit, all others worth 10 points each) Course of fire will remain the same as at the 25-yard line. Center Fire Pistols
10-Yards: Candy suckers (5) 15-rounds to be fired off hand (any rounds left after hitting all suckers will be taken to the 50-yard line). 25-Yards: Clay Pigeons (5), Tennis Balls (2), Bulls eye target (1) 30-rounds to be fired in 6-round increments, one shot fired at each target twice around, this will be repeated until all 30-rounds have been expended. 50-Yards: One large bulls eye target All of your remaining rounds (5) will be shot into the target, plus those left from The 10-yard line
Did I happen to mention? All shots will be fired “Off Hand”. And now for the best part, you can do all this for about the price of a cup of coffee (and we will throw in the coffee): Members $2.00 for one gun, $3.00 for two, add $1.00 to each for non-members, now tell me that’s not a bargain. These matches are usually held on the second Saturday of each month, unless scheduling problems arise. Always check your monthly calendar before coming out. |
